Get your WY Driver's Permit
To obtain a Wyoming license with full driving privileges a person must be at least seventeen years of age.
Applicants who are at least 16 years old, have held a learner's permit for at least 10 days and have completed 50 (10 at night) actual hours of supervised driving experience can apply for an intermediate permit.
If this is your first driver's license, applicants must pass all parts of the examination, including a written knowledge test, vision screening and driving skills test.
Prepare for the Written Knowledge Test

New Wyoming Residents
New residents with out-of-state license must obtain a Wyoming driver's license. When heading to the DOT, be sure to bring the license from your former state as you will be required to surrender it in order to obtain the new license.
The vision test is required to change a valid out-of-state license to a WY driver's license; however the written exam and road skills test may be waived at the discretion of the examiner.
If your out-of-state driver's license is expired, you may be required to apply for a license as a new driver and pass all required testing.

Once your licensing requirements have been met, you will receive your new:
- Restricted License (16 to 17 years of age).
- Full driver's license (17 and older).
