America's 911 Ride

America’s 911 Ride

This past weekend, local headlines across the country may have caught your attention:

1,000 Motorcycles Roll into Arlington

Hundreds of Bikers Pass Through Highstown

Scores of Bikers Ride Through D.C.

The reason for this massive, country-wide motorcycle migration? These bikers were participating in America’s 911 Ride. The purpose of this annual memorial ride is to remember the heroes, volunteers and victims who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001.

Each year, the ride takes place in August to respect the September mourning period. The procession stops by the Flight 93 National Memorial, then makes its way to the Pentagon before heading to Manhattan.

If you would like to take part in America’s 911 Ride in 2015 or 2016, here are the future ride dates:

Future Ride Dates
2015 August 21, 22, 23
2016 August 19, 20, 21 (15 year Annv.)
